1Challenge

Alter a market-leading brand’s chemistry to comply with ever-evolving regulations around the globe. Needed to ensure the new product’s performance characteristics are as effective or improved while eliminating more harsh chemicals.

2Objective

Develop an adhesive product compliant with state, federal and international regulations, with a focus on meeting the end-user’s EHS needs as well as various retail and industrial requirements.

3Approach

Instead of simply replacing some 
of the solvents, we opted to
remove the solvents completely.

By adding a form of silicon, we modified the evaporation process to
deliver an adhesion and curing process where the materials condensed
instead of evaporating. To find the ideal materials to achieve all
objectives, we conducted exhaustive testing, including:

4Solution

We developed a truly innovative
adhesive/abrasion-protectant product.

We not only met all physical and regulatory attributes
requested by the client, but we also actually delivered
superior adhesion on many substrates.
